5 Celebrities That are Now CEO’s

In 2019, it seems as if celebrities are exercising their fame in every way possible. After filming a movie or finishing an album instead of using their time to rest they are becoming entrepreneurs. Whether it’s investing in a clothing brand or starting their own makeup line, celebrities are managing to do it all.

Celebrities are recognized around the globe, giving them an advantage when going to start their own business. People buy products from companies they trust, so when their favorite celebrity starts selling makeup they are gonna support them. Although I am not one to talk, I am guilty of buying a product simply because of the name on the packaging.

Here are just a few celebrities that have used their fame to excel in the business world:

Since 2006, Rihanna has been a pop icon known all around the world. She won us over with her first No.1 hit “SOS” and then again with “Umbrella.” Her career has been monumental; she has been nominated for 33 Grammys and won 9 of them over the years.

In September of 2017, she launched Fenty Beauty. Fenty Beauty took off not only because of Rihanna but because of its inclusivity to all genders and skin tones. Her first launched included a foundation with 40 shades, along with a universal lip gloss for all skin tones. Rihanna now has a net worth of a whopping $260 million because of her diverse empire.

Jessica Alba has been apart of the entertainment industry since she was just 13 years old. Since then, she has starred in several blockbuster movies including the Fantastic 4 series, Sin City and Good Luck Chuck.

In 2011, she founded The Honest Company, a company centered around giving consumers household and baby products that are nontoxic. Since then she has expanded the company even more with a beauty line that includes a variety of makeup and hair products. The company is net worth at $1.7 million dollars, giving Jessica a net worth of her own $350 million.

No one can deny that Beyonce is one of the biggest musical icons of our generation. You might know her from her days with Destiny’s Child or from her very successful solo career or even from her lead role in Dreamgirls, she’s done it all. Over her 22 years long career, she has embarked on seven world tours, became the first African American female to headline Coachella and she has won 23 Grammys.

Beyonce did not just stop there, on April 14, 2016, she launched Ivy Park an activewear clothing line. Ivy Park is sold in Nordstrom and Topshop. Beyonce recently teased a collaboration with Ivy Park and Adidas. Beyonce currently has a net worth of $355 million and counting.

Beyonce husband, Jay-Z, has also managed to make a name for himself in the business world. Having not graduated from high school, Jay-Z has gone above and beyond in his career. He is not only a famous rapper but a songwriter, record producer, entrepreneur, and record executive.

In 1995, Jay-Z started his own recording label called Roc-A-Fella empire. He also founded the Rocawear clothing line. Then in 2015, he launched Tidal, a music streaming service, with several other top recording artists. This has put Jay-Z’s net worth at $900 million.

Mark Wahlberg:

Mark Wahlberg stole our hearts in 1992 with his iconic Calvin Klein photo shoot. Since then his acting career has skyrocketed, staring in movies like Ted, Daddy’s Home and The Other Guys.

Mark along with his two brothers, Paul and Donnie, opened Wahlburgers in November of 2014. Wahlburgers restaurant now has 31 locations around the United States including Boston and Las Vegas. Mark’s net worth is now at $255 million.
